The Ocala Radio Controlled Car Club, Inc. is a group of folks who love racing radio-controlled cars! The club is a not-for-profit organization that operates a race facility at the Ocala Regional Sportsplex located at 3500 SW 67th Ave in Ocala, Florida. The club is made up of members, officers and folks who like to join us periodically for a good time. Every year, the members elect officers for certain positions within the club. All members are urged to vote, as well as run for these positions. Monthly, and sometimes more often, a meeting is held to discuss upcoming events as well as regular race day stuff. Members as well as non-members are encouraged to participate.

Every Saturday the action begins with folks trickling to the race site from all over the area. Regulars come from as far as Southern Georgia and South Central Florida. All sorts of people ranging from moms and dads, to little Johnny or Mary are on the scene to help out with the day. Some work on track maintenance, while others get setup to practice or line up at concessions.

With hot dogs and hamburgers just like Mom used to make, multitudes of cold drinks and many other items on hand, the concession stand crew is always busy and probably the hardest working bunch out there. Not many other tracks have concessions at all, so remember to thank them when you can.

Periodically, the club has workdays to keep the site in tip-top shape or to create new racetrack set ups. These days are not mandatory, but the more the merrier. The club also presents R.O.A.R. sanctioned races as well as other events. These are 1 and sometimes 2-day racing events. Volunteers for technical inspection, radio impound and race director are always needed, as well as talented racers to show the other folks what we are all about!

Basically, this club is a way to get out of the house, spend time with folks with a common interest and just have some good fun. If these types of things are appealing to you, we urge to join us some Saturday and see if you are interested in joining a great club.
