EXTRA, EXTRA, read
all about it!!!!!!!!!!! Things are happening at the O.R.C.C.C. After a long wait
concessions are open and racing is on. Bring the family, friends and neighbors
to join us for a fun-filled day of racing every Saturday.
We would like to the welcome new board members:

POINTS RACE
We will be starting a point series with cash prizes to run January 31st through
February 28th. Entry fee is ten dollars a week per class. This will
be a five week point race with one throw out week.
Classes are as follows:
STOCK BUGGY- stock motors only, no brushless
STOCK TRUCK- stock motors only, no brushless
1/8 SCALE NITRO
NITRO TRUCK
4 WHEEL DRIVE- open mod and brushless can be run
NOVICE- stock motors only, no brushless
$PRIZE
PAYOUTS$ are as follows:
FIRST PLACE- $75.00
SECOND PLACE- $50.00
THIRD PLACE- $30.00
If we average forty entries a week, the first place
prize will go up to $100.00. If we average fifty entries a week, first place
will go up to $125.00 and second will go up to $75.00!
Points will be as follows:
TOP QUALIFIER- 10 PTS
FIRST- 15 PTS
SECOND- 10 PTS
THIRD- 8 PTS
FOURTH- 5 PTS
FIFTH-TENTH- 2 PTS
If you TQ and win your main, you get 2 extra pts.
During the point series, all stock motors are subject to be checked at random,
which means you must run a stock motor and are no modifications are allowed.
There must be at least five entries for that class to be a point series.
Remember, as always, there may be racers racing in these classes that are not
racing the point series. Their fees will be regular price and they don’t
qualify for the prizes. First race of the point series will be held on January
31st, 2004 and the last will be held on February 28th, 2004.

WORD FROM THE BOARD
We
are still looking for property. We have until April before we have to relocate.
As you’d expect, the O.R.C.C.C. will be the best race facility in Florida no
matter where the track is located. The board members are always working hard to
keep it that way.
For
all members: check with James Raney about what day will be track maintenance and
track clean up day.
